Kale Puree Recipe

Okay, I get it, months go by and there's not been a peep outta us. You're looking for a date night recipe that's full of buttery, fatty, sauce-o-liciousness and you find kale puree.

Well, while we've been "off the air," we've acquired a taste for kale. Personally, I resisted it for a long time because it was trendy, and all the cool chefs were playing with it.

Few things make me less interested in something than an association with the adjective 'trend.' However, we were in the store looking at leafy greens and looking for an alternative to spinach. A bundle of kale followed us home and jumped in the pan later that night. I loved how it didn't wilt into nothingness like spinach and enjoyed it's resilient texture. The first preparation we tried was with the kale taken off the thick stems and then just tossed in butter, garlic, salt and pepper.

The next day we felt the positive effects and there has been no going back. I really could go on and on about my newfound love for kale, but I'll spare you. All you need to know is that it's very good for your sweetie. Want to geek out on it? Check out World's Healthiest Foods page on kale.

Now, flash forward to today. The website is up, and I'm ready to write at one in the morning. Plus, I see that my cousin would like me to share my kale puree recipe from a pic I shared on Instagram, and I'm pleased to say that it's really easy to make!
